Hudson Veterinary Hospital provides a full range of preventive care services to help your pets live a longer, happier life and to increase the odds of detecting problems early, before they become severe and costly. We believe the best medicine is always preventative medicine.
We make our preventive care recommendations based on the guidelines established by the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. We can then adjust our recommendations based on your pet’s risk factors that include: age, medical history and lifestyle.
We recommened all pets be seen at least once every 6 months for a well pet check up, fecal and deworming (whether they are on preventions or not). Having a pet seen once a year is like you being seen once every 3 yrs by your doctor!
We offer a clean and well-equipped surgical suite and a highly trained team to provide your pet with the highest quality surgical care in a low stress environment.
Pre-surgical blood tests help to ensure a safer procedure for your pet, along with our sophisticated patient monitoring equipment (respiration, blood pressure and ECG, pulse oximetry). Personalized pain relief regimens ensure your pet's comfort, and aids in the healing process. Dr. Hudson is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, and believes in pain free healing.
Your pet's safety and comfort are our top priority so you can be sure that your pet will receive only the best and safest anesthetic and surgical care available.
Veterinary dentistry is a critical component of preventive pet health care. Dental Care is one of the most important parts of maintaining your pet’s health.Dental disease is the most common, most preventable, and most treatable problem of dogs and cats.
Dental disease can lead to pain, tooth loss and bacterial infections from periodontal disease resulting in damage to the heart, kidneys and other internal organs. More than 85% of dogs and cats over four years of age have some form of periodontal disease. A professional dental cleaning (dental prophylaxis), brushes and cleaners will not only give your pet better breath, but it will help ensure a longer, happier and healthier life.
When dental problems and oral diseases are diagnosed, sometimes a dental procedure, such as oral extractions, may be necessary.
You can expect the same level of anesthetic care and safety with a dental procedure as with any other surgical procedure. Our technicians are skilled in dental prophylaxis.
The CareCredit healthcare credit card helps you manage those expenses that pop up at unexpected times, You can even use it for ongoing and annual veterinary care. There is no interest on purchases over 200 dollars if paid in full within 6 months.
CareCredit can also be used for things like eyeglasses and dental care.
